Posted by Invisibleman on 2014/09/28 under Uncategorized I believe that most people are more racially biased than racist and that’s due to ignorance because they don’t actually know people from other races, so we gather stereotypical idea of what they must be like from what we see and hear through the media. For instance I assume that Asian people are smart from what I’ve seen in movies and TV shows but that’s not really a negative stereotype. The problem comes when all you see on TV is the negative part of a particular type of people, then you form a negative opinion about them not even knowing their true personality and treat them according to what you believe creating a racial barrier and devaluing that particular type of person so when bad things happen to them you don’t sympathize because you think they have less value than other people and some how they had it coming. So with all that being said this is my personal opinion and it really doesn’t matter if you agree or not but I believe this to be true and the only way to correct the problem is to admit that their is a problem and be mindful of your own thought process and also try to be a more cultured and get a better understanding about people other than the ones you interact with day in and day out
